Using MS Exam for more than one cert
|
|
|
| I was wondering if any one has used a MS exam for more than one cert. I was at the MS website deciding where to go next(have A+ and N+) MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCDBA and relised that if you can use an exam more than once for a different cert I could obtain all of the MS certs mentioned above in 8 exams. I'm wondering if it is posable or if anyone has done it. I check out MS website for any info pertaining to this and found nothing that said you can't use an exam for more than one cert.
Thanks for your time and info

| Yep plenty of people do this. i plan on doing MCSE/MCSA in 7 exams, maybe even the MCDBA aswell, like you suggested
but yes, it is a common practise

| You are saying that an MCSE can obtain MCDBA with only one additional test? | |

| yes, if you do one of the SQL tests as an MCSE elective
BUT, if you dont go MCSA -> MCSE (i.e dont use 218 as an MCSE elective) then MCSE and MCDBA can be had in only 7 tests by using the two SQL tests as MCSE electives
