I'm MCSE in NT 4 with CCNA and CNE and I want to begin working on my MCSE for either 2000 or 2003.

I work with NT 4 on a daily basis and I know nothing about active directory.

Do you think that 2003 offers significant improvement over 2000 that organizations will move on to 2003 from NT 4?

And, do you think that many organizations who are now on 2000 will want to move up to 2003?

I'm trying to decide whether I should go for the 2000 MCSE or the 2003 MCSE - and I don't have a clue.

Thanks,

Yes.
Yes.

I really think the improvements are that significant.

The TCO is less for Windows 2003. There are more options(configuration). Its more scalable than Win2K. The migration enhancements/tools in themselves are worth it. Improved management(scripting espicially..ready to run stuff). Wait until you see the GP management console. Its really something.

Hey get a copy and see for yourself.

Not much..

Take the 2000, then upgrade to 2003...

It is difficult to start off 2003 when there is not enought study materials... except the official MS courses.
