70-218 is a general elective for MCSE

The A+ Net+ combo only applies to the elective requirements of the MCSA. They do not apply to the MCSE at all.

Really? I'd point the trainer to the following Microsoft MCSE, MCSA requirement website links

MCSE - http://www.microsoft.com/Traincert/...equirements.asp No mention of CompTIA exams here.

MCSA - http://www.microsoft.com/TrainCert/...equirements.asp Scroll down to the bottom....CompTIA exams listed here.

I guess not all MCTs are keeping themselves updated with the ever-changing requirements!?

It always amazes me how uninformed many pro trainers are about the tracks they teach.
I also get calls from a company called
"Smart Certify Direct" and I almost always wind up giving the caller information about certification tracks they are promoting.
I had them tell me that my NT4 MCSE was expiring several months after Microsoft changed there mind for instance.
