i haven't started one bit of studying yet. i want to go for the MCSA. I need everyone's opinion. should i go for the 2000 cert or the 2003 cert. i haven't started reading yet and i'm concerned about being forced to upgrade the cert. time is important. i'm wondering if they will cancel out the 2000 cert when 2003 comes out. if you have insight please share with me. i'm trying to get ahead in the industry and i don't want to waste money by preparing for 2000 if it'll be retired in 6-7 months. thanks for the opinions everyone.

Well, as far as I know the 2003 exams aren't out yet, well, save for the XP Pro workstation but the server stuff isn't. I'm not even sure what there is for study material out there yet.

If it were me I would do the 2000 track, seeing as NT4 is yet to be "retired" I doubt very much that W2K will go the way of the dinosaur any time soon.

I understand the money concern but keep in mind that you should be able to write it off on your taxes as "continuing education" at lesat, that's how it works in Canada.

you'll get nothing but valuable experience by doing the 2000 track. That being said I noticed you have A+ already, you could play it safe and study for N+ or Server+, not only benificial by themselves but combined with A+ is one MCSA requirement.

Just my 2 cents.
