| You can apply either A+ and N+ or 70-216 towards the MCSA. However 70-216 will still be required for the MCSE. Hope that helps. | |

| You CANNOT use A+ and Network+ for MCSE. Simple as that. | |

Perfect answer.
And neither should you be able to. the 216 test is a beast.

from what i see..it separates a system administrator from a system engineer
|
| it separates the men from the boys, which is why I think the Catholic Church should force some of their priests to take this test | |

| Freak is right, the 216 is not a test to be taken lightly.
Those that have had a lot of working experience administrating a Microsoft network should have a head start with this exam but that still won’t ensure a pass.
Know everything you can regarding WINS, RRAS DNS, DDNS, TCP/IP, BIND (Yes BIND) and everything else that is needed to successfully configure, install and support a Microsoft environment.
Having said that, I think you'll find that 219 is the one you should worry about. That exam is a killer now with five and a half hours allocated to the exam.
If 216 separates the men from the boys then 219 separates the gods from the men.
