| Hi ppl!
I'm a little confused abt the certification track b/w mcse and mcsa.
I have just completed my 210, 215, 216(which is real BEAST!) and is now gunning for 218 to finish off MCSA.
I have also planned to go on to MCSE after that but not sure of how many more papers I need to complete after MCSA (Ops, hope I'm not sounding confused or confusing you guys!).
Is it 3 more papers, which will total up to 7 for MCSE or 4 more, since 218 is also an elective for MCSE?
MS website dosen't help much and that's why I need to consult real-life professionals.. | |

| After you finish 70-218 you will be an MCSA, after that its only 3 tests to get the MCSE. 70-218 most definately counts as an elective exam. Hopefully I answered what you were asking. | |

| Thanks Slinky!
I think you answered me.
Cos I thought that 218 is a core for MCSA and is an elective for MCSE at the same time, therefore cannot be counted twice along the MCSE track! Phew! You know, that save both time and Sing dollars..
Thanks again! | |

| Just make sure that you take the correct 3 more papers so you won't waste your time and sing dollars. | |

| Of the 3 that you will need, one HAS to be a design exam. Most ppl do either 219, 220, or 221. Lots of ppl say 219 is the easiest of the three. I only took 219 and found it to be quiet easy if you did well on 217. | |
