while i was studying for my mcse i came across the section on wndows 2000 licensing modes. from what i understand this means that for every win2k client you connect to a win2k server you must purchase a license from micrsoft. is this correct and does it mean that if you were running a computer at home with win2k server on it and your other pc was running win2k professional you would have to pay for a license to network them???

i think that is the way with ms license since windows nt, but as i understand if you buy w2k server it has 5 client access license so you could connect 5 clients for free, beyond that you'll have to pay, if you want to follow that license scheme
