Author Error in shell32.dll

When ever I try to boot my system which has a win98 se os installed it gives me a error message stating that Explorer has caused an error in module shell32.dll and the windows will shut down. I have reinstalled the os twice still it's giving the error message

In technet it says the message is related to some novell netware bla bla stuff But I dont have any novell netware

Pls help me out

Albeit, the knowledge base article says it is for Win 95 the following page:

"This error may be caused by a combination of the following conditions:

The horizontal spacing for icons is set too high or set to 0.

You are using a video resolution of 640 x 480.

The taskbar is placed at the left or right edge of the screen, and has been expanded to larger than the default size."

There are 4 solutions listed at the knowledge base article. Perhaps this is of some help. If not these error messages can also occur if you are running an early version of Plugin.exe that is not compatible with Windows.
