I need some urgent help.
I am currently lecturing an MCSE course, I have always had the intention of becoming an MCT (the college I work at reqiures this in 6 months of exployment). I am an MCSE (2000)already. I really dont understand the process that I need to go through to be an MCT. Microsofts site is really confusing. I am also getting mixed reports from different people, some saying I need to requalify in each subject, others saying I need to get over 80% or some rubbish in my mcse certs. AS I understand it this is what needs to happen, please correct me if I am wrong.

1] Get the qualification you wish to lecture in. (Done, I am already an MCSE)

2] Attend a 3 day microsoft/traning lecture.

3] Submit this to M$ and await certification.

Is this correct? Please can an MCT verfiy/correct me.

Thanks a lot

Microsoft changed its MCT requirements along with W2K. Used to be all you had to do was be an MCP and take a Train the Trainer class. Now you have to be an MCSE.
What you need to do:
1) Complete your MCSE 2000 certification
2) attend or have attended at least one Microsoft certified class that was at least 3 days long. AND you need to have a copy of the course completion certificate which lists the date of the class.
3) Attend a Train the Trainer class or the equivalent type of class provided by another vendor. MS website gives a list of what classes they say are equal. AGAIN- you need the completion certificate.
4) Fill out the MCT application at MS website. You'll need to know your secured MCP login in order to complete the MCT app. And you'll be required to pay $300US.
5) Fax a copy of the course completion certificates for your Train the Trainer course and the other MS course you completed to MS.
That's it.

I just went through the process last month. If you're in the US, the fax number is 661-793-6555. You can email MS from the website for more info or if you don't understand something. Email concerning MCT should be sent to mct@microsoft.com
They're pretty quick at responding.
