Author 210 & 215 same day?

I plan on writing both 210 and 215 the same day this month. My buddies had suggested that for the 4.0 track, it was a good idea to take both server and workstation the same day. Anyone tried this approach for W2K?

I've been studying forever as I wrote 240 Dec 31st - crashed and burned on the infrastructure section. Since then, I've re-taken the 210/215 CBT Systems course material, and will be reviewing my notes and practicing with the transcenders..

Though they are similar exams, I'm not brave enough to take them both in one day. Good Luck!!

Ditto to what spud says. Don't rush yourself just to be mcp or mcse. Do it right and in a timely frame. If you are ready for both exams, feel relaxed.
Schedule them one week apart from each other at least.

enough to do both on the same day. I took Server in the morning and Professional in the afternoon.

As you are studying both together, and if you feel happy with what you have learnt, then go for it!!

Why not? I took NT srv and wks on the same day, then enterprise and TCP/IP on the same day, then Proxy and Net Ess on the same day in a three week time span for my first MCSE. It works

It really depends on your test taking abilities, and on how well you know the material. But it is certainly doable...

I took 70-015 on a Friday and 70-016 on the following Monday. I doubt I will take two MCSE exams on the same day, though, because I'm studying the required MCP subjects one at a time.

Hey divxguy, you like Divx that much?

I found it to be an intriguing system, and I have a collection of discs, players (including a prototype JVC from a dev lab), and miscellaneous items. I also run a hobby site concerning the product at www.the-doa.com, for anyone who wonders what it was all about.

I took 210 and 215 back to back two weeks ago - a 10 minute break in between. It was a big mistake - my brain was fried. I did fine on 210, but second guessed myself on half the answers on 215 and flunked. I retook 215 yesterday, with a little more studying but more importantly a clear head. 215 seemd EASY yesterday. I think it was the clear head more than the extra study time! FYI - 215 gave me lots of questions on disk management and what to do when you had a disk failure - make sure you know that well. On to the next one....216 or 217 hmmmmm - everyone says 216 is harder, but I sure like DNS/DHCP type stuff better than AD

DNS and Wins is not what makes the 216 test hard -- heck, those were the gimme questions along with the subnetting ones.

RRAS is what makes the 216 the beast that it is

Congrats on the pass.

I would take 217 next and 216 last -- that is actually what I did back in the days when I took the MCSE 2K.

I agree with what Freak said even though he is a Patriots fan (Next year Buddy ) By all means take the 217 first if you can. I was in a track where I had to take the tests in order and it was a bear. The stuff for the 217 makes clearer some of the questions they ask. I have seen folks save the 216 for the last test for the MCSE.
Best of luck and do not underestimate the 216

ha ha ha, I like that "even if you are a Patriots fan" part!

GO PATS!!!! WORLD CHAMPS!

And by the way, we will do it again this year! Get ready for the repeat

I'm actually a 49ers fan, but I'd like to see anybody win except the Dallas Cowboys & most especially the overrated St. Louis Rams. Should be called Super Marshall's Rams.
That was so AWESOME to see Vinateri sink the Rams with that Field Goal heard round the world!!! No disrespect to any Cowboys or Rams fans, both are good teams!

I agree. If you are going to take 2 tests the same day, don't make them so close time wise. I recommend taking one in the morning and one in the afternoon...

Thank all of you for your insight. I will take them both on a Saturday; 215 in the am and 210 in the pm. Will let y'all know how I did if this post is still available.

GO PATS GO!

ok, ok I'll put away my 216 book and go to 217. I guess I'll just have to learn to love AD. (But it's hard for a Pittsburgh boy to take advice from a Patriots fan!)

I understand But in Freak's case I always take his advice. (Mutter Mutter Blinking Field Goal, Mutter Mutter)If we could just get him interested in Baseball!!
All Kidding aside Freak has dragged me through more tests than I care to count. He is a great resource and is always willing to help.
