| hey,
i'm getting mixed reviews of which test is easier 2K server or workstation.
let's hear it from those who have passed both...
thanks. | |

| Ok i won't answer then.
however i'm studying for both and from the pratice tests you get it seems they are very similar and i think it's best to study for them at the same time
i might even do them on the same day if i'm brave enough

| I believe 210 is easier, however others might disagree. | |

| If you are working towards the MCSA, you'll need both.
The 210 and 215 both cover a lot of the same ground. Biggest difference is 210 is focused towards the client side of Win2K networking, more so than any other test in the requirements.
For example, the 215 exam lists a sub objective of "configure, manage, and troubleshoot a DFS shared folder." The 210 exam requires you to "Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot access to shared folders."
My advice, if you are new to Win2K administration, take 215 first. Studying for that exam will cover much of the install/configure aspects of administration. With that knowledge behind you, the client aspects fall into place a little easier.

| I thought 215 was slightly easier only because I took 210 first. Quite a bit of material was overlap.
I believe that if I would have taken 215 first, I would have found it slightly more difficult than the 210.

| I took 215 after 210 and I found it easier, but don't underestimate it. | |
|
| it depends on your experience with each OS in the real world. I thought that the Server one was easier, but then again I deal with servers all the time, and with wks only when my workstation guy is not around.
Overall, I still think that the workstation test was easier in terms of the body of knowledge/skill set it requires.

| I took 215 before 210 and thought 215 was easier but maybe that's cause I work with server more than pro. The biggest difference I saw was the accessibility options on 210. | |

| Yes the accessibility questions on 210 were one of the major differences. I found the material on 215 a bit easier, but overall i thought 210 was easier to pass because of the low passing score. But that may have changed now since i took the exams a year ago that they dont give you the passing score anymore. | |
|
| I took 215 shortly after 210, and found the server exam slightly easier. If I'd taken 215 first, that one would've been the harder one. There IS a lot of overlap in the material, so study for both of them together. (that's what I did...) |
