Hi all !
I want to write a small application that examines log-events and draws output (like Event Viewer). My boss asks me to do it immediately. But I don't know how to do it because I don't know the structure of log file. I've searched in Google, Yahoo but I can't find any related documents.
Please tell me if you know it.
Thanks !

DumpEvt works pretty good. I've used it to grab Event log information and then import it into Access and its free.

A couple issues back in VS magazine there was code for a VB app to do this task.

You will have to search for it as I do not have the article# with me. I can check later if you cant find it. I havent tried it out myself but it looked good. There just isnt enough time for everything
