Hey, y'all:

Already in the biz, so busy in my middle name (harried is my last.) I am therefore trying to consolidate my sweet precious time.
Please let me know if I can do this.
I have passed the NT 4.0 core four, so for MCSE win2k could I:

Take accelerated 240
One of the design electives
and then two NT 4.0 era electives (I'm referring to exchange 5.5 and Proxy because they still have relevance at my job..)

Any clarification would be appreciated gigs.

This is what Microsoft has to say;

Q. Which elective exams from the Windows NT 4.0 MCSE track count toward the Windows 2000 MCSE track?
A. All elective exams in the Windows NT 4.0 track also count toward the Windows 2000 track. However, after an elective exam retires, candidates using that exam to fulfill an elective requirement are required to pass another elective that has not retired. This requirement must be fulfilled within a specified length of time of the exam's retirement. For example, Exam 70-059: Internetworking with Microsoft TCP/IP on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 retired February 28, 2001. If you passed this exam, it applies as an elective credit toward both the Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 MCSE tracks until December 31, 2001. To remain certified after that date, you must pass another elective exam by December 31, 2001.

So the two exams you mentioned are still on the active list and would count toward W2K. Both have replacements though, Exchange 2000 and ISA Server. But a retirement date for Exchange 5.5 and Proxy 2 have not been announced yet.

Also, since you have passed the core NT 4 exams this might be of interest to you;

Q. If I have passed all core exams in the Windows NT 4.0 MCSE track by February 28, 2001, but have not yet passed my elective exams by that date, can I still continue to earn my certification?
A. Yes, if you have passed all core exams in the Windows NT 4.0 MCSE track exams by February 28, 2001, you may continue to earn your MCSE certification in the Windows NT 4.0 track, as long as the electives you select have not retired. If you pass your elective exams by December, 31, 2001, you will be certified in the Windows NT 4.0 track until that date.

Going the 240 route might not be the best way. I elected to take each exam individually because of the amount of material required to know for each of them. The success rate for the accelerated exam is very low. You could take it and if you don't pass go back and take each individually.
