OK I am bumming in a big way. I configured a W2K machine the way I wanted it with the exception of one Icon. I then copied the profile to All Users using system under control panel. almost EVERTHING went Away. All software is on the system still under add remove programs but Where did the Icons and shortcuts go?

I thought by doing this the programs would be accessable to all users.
Any thoughts would be helpful.

How did you copy? The proper way is to use the copy function in control panel/system. NOT ordinary file copy.

Sorry I didn't read your first post well enough. When you say "the profile" I take it you mean the profile of the administrator or the logged in user. The following is a guess: It is possible that when you installed the programs, the shortcuts where put on "all users". When you copy another profile to "all users", all shortcuts are overwritten. Could this have happened?

You may well be right. I had installed the programs and gave all users rights to the programs. This is a standalone machine so the only profiles I had to deal with was the guy that got the PC initally. All this over one connection. I Think I am probably going to have to reinstall everything. Lord I feel like an idiot. Teach me to let machines into the company that I have not built. I am not finding any way to restore the account to its previous state easily.
Thanks for the help
