Hello, i am new to MCSE stuff, but i just bought the MCSE books today at cosco (for 120 bucks cheaper then anywhere else in canadian dollars), and I am somewhat puzzled, do i need to take 7 exams to become MCSE?? I understand the first 4 because i got those books (70-210, 70-215, 70-216, 70-217), but what the the other 3 exams?? Or is there more then those 4 books that i have to read??

Thanks

You have to take 7 exams. The reason your set only included 4 books, is because those are the 4 Core exams. You have to take those 4. The other 3 you can choose from a long list. That is why the other 3 weren't included, because there's no possible way that they could predict which ones you will pick. This site's MCSE page explains it well:

ok, thats awsome, thanks, seems like its gonna be a long time before i get my MCSE, but hell i am only 17, i have time to get this stuff all done. Just one more question, what is MCP and what do you need to get it, i know its microsoft certified profecional, but is it like a little part of MSCE or something?

You are absolutely correct. The MCP is the first step to becoming an MCSE (provided the test you take is part of the MCSE track.) See http://www.microsoft.com/trainingandservices/default.asp?PageID=mcp&PageCall=requirements&SubSite=cert/mcse&AnnMenu=mcse for more details.

You take one of those 4 exams that you'll have the book for and you'll be MCP. There's a lot others, but concentrate on those 4 core exams first.
