| Hi Guys
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but someone here might be able to help me with this problem. I'm using a dialup connection with Win2k to access the internet using only one phone line into my home. Even when I'm not online and the phone rings, Win2k disconnects the call just as I'm about to answer it. I am thinking it has something to do with the Fax program in Win2k, does anyone know how I can disable it from doing this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

| If it's the fax program that's the problem, there should be a setting in it that lets you control how many rings to allow before the computer interrupts the call (not too sure though, I'll have to have a look later!).
If you don't use it, try removing the fax program and see if that helps.

| IIRC, check the fax properties within the control panel and disable to fax from monitoring the line and that should resolve your problems. | |
