I was exploring a web site and came across the banner of a book for mcse on amazon, titled as "Windows 2000 MCSE Study System (with CD-ROM)" Alan R. Carter; Hardcover; @ $71.99 each plus shipping $37.98." Here is
the link of this book.

I want to ask that since $110.00 is big amount for me, so do u recommend this book or not.

You can get it at bookpool.com for $62 -- if they ship overseas...

If you buy all four of the Sybex you will spend over $120... But if you are having trouble with the financing and want to get started order the first Sybex book instead... They are good books...

Good Luck!

Alan's book is good. But I think is better to have 4 books rather than a all-in-one book.

If your concern is cost, you can go to Books online, Computer Books Direct. For $9.99 plus shipping and handling you can get the Exam Cram 4 core books plus two more, the only thing is that you have to join their club. I have the books and although I have not taken any of the tests yet, I used the NT 4.0 books and they were great. They are partners with the Literary Guild.

Thanx for your valuable advice. I do have MS press books for MCSE but I am not 100% with them. And also I lerned from amazon review that Alan's book provides excellent hands-on and practical works to get going with all core exams. So if I have MS press books, Trnscenders, Troytecs, and ucertify, Would they be sufficient to get through the exams. I think they might be, but unfortunately, I don't have enough networking or windows 2000 practical experience, so that's why I was thinking to get that book and learn some practical knowledge too from it.

I highly recommend studying for one of the CompTIA exams to learn more about networking, such as i-Net+ or Net+. They have helped me create a solid foundation for my MCSE studying.
