How good are SMart Force CBTS for 2000 Track.

My work paid for SmartForce CBT's for our whole IT dept so we can do self-study type training. They are a wee bit dry as far as CBT's go. Not very interactive. More like reading a lot of screens of text. Personally I would rather use books for study guides and have the OS your studing set up on a spare workstation to work through all the modules and exercises. I have no idea how much they cost as I didn't pay for any of them. I use them because we are allowed to do the CBT's during work time(nothing to lose there). I found using the SmartForce CBT's for a couple of hours a lot more draining then studing from a book for the same time period, and learning the same material.

I think SmartForce CBT is good for refreshing the materials and for startup process. Otherwise, I found it too general and will not able to give you all the effect to pass the cerification.

I'd recommend supplimenting the SmartForce CBT's with a good study guide and/or exam cram book as well as some practice with the product you're studying for. I've used this method and have never had to take an exam more than once.
