Does anyone know how to import (if possible) the
SYSTEM32\CONFIG\NETLOGON.DNS file into DNS? My DC crapped out and somehow every single DNS entry disappeared. So now I can't even boot into normal mode because it stalls at the "preparing network
connections" window.
If you can't import that file, how do I read it so I can do it manually? Additionally, *IF* you can't import a file, why is there an export to csv/tsv option in a lot (if not all) the menus? What's the purpose of this?

Also, is there a specific reason why it can take up to 15min on the "preparing network connections" window before you get the login
screen? This is unrelated to my above problem. Even if everything is dandy it still can take up 15min before I can login. What's the deal?

Hope you guys can help.

Are you using AD integrated or Standard DNS? Check out this support article to see if it helps:

The hanging for 15 minutes at logon I have seen on several occasions. It has always been indicative of DNS not being properly configured.
