I have been lurking on this forum for a few weeks now. I am about to dive back into the books after a long break, and I have a general question. I have read post after post about braindumps and people that get the cert just to get the job. Am I the only one who is doing this for themselves? Am I the only one who is doing this because it interests me? Am I the only one who is taking the test to see if I learned anything, for the personal satisfaction of succeeding at something? ......Just a question, nothing more.

Nope, you are not alone in this.

I do it for my own personal and career growth, and to be able to better position myself and support my family financially.

I also do it because I have a desire to continually learn, and I am also fortunate to work in a field that is as much of a hobby to me (I'm a big multiplayer computer game addict )as it is a professional job.

hi

im a developer and i work with vb60 and sql7/2000 last 2 years, my work give me a enought background for certification, i study very hard, i bought transcenders and pass exams, now im mcsd but its too sad that people with no skill get certification with cheets , troytec and stuff.

i used a sample cheets-sheet for 70-100 but i think its only a help, but maybe in future certification means nothing

i use transcender or stuff like that just 5 days prior to the test
just to get familiar with the wording of the questions
i just love learning about new tech stuff that i dont know about
