| Ok heres the deal. I have a machine with about 300 GB of data that needs to be copied onto another machine. The machine with the data has 6 60GB HDDs formated ntfs. The machine that will be getting the data has 4 100GB drives and will need to be Fat 32. My plan was to image the first drive using ghost than use xcopy to copy the first 40GB of the 2nd HDD.......this leads me to my questions:
1. Imaging the first drive shouldnt be a prob. My plan was to ghost the drive onto the 100GB drive than use partition magic to exten the partition to the end and convert to fat32. After that I need to get the next 40 GB off of the 2nd HDD. Can I use xcopy to only copy a range of files? Also can I copy them to a fat32 drive even though they are in ntfs format?
2. After copying the first 40 GB that will leave me with 20 left on that 2nd drive and then I will have to copy the whole 60 GB from the third. Can I use ghost to copy an image and not erase data that I hve already copied over or would I need to image the drive and then go back and copy the 20 GB?
Sorry it is so long but I dont have alot of experience with imaging software and partioning software.
Thanks
