| Hi,
please, is it possible to install windows2000 on its self with out loosing your already installed files?
I want to reinstall windows2k on top of its self cos the windows program can't boot, and i have no ERD nor anyway of correcting thias problem. I just want to reinstall windows2k without loosing my installed files.
If its possible, pls let me know. | |

| If I remember correctly, that will work, although you will end up with double profiles (i.e. Administrator and Administrator.000) As the adminstrator of the newly installed instance of Win2K you should be able to take ownership of the files and have access to all your data. | |

| If you are talking about Windows 2000 not booting because it is having or has a corrupt boot files you could try this. Run recover console from you Win 2000 cd and tell it to fix boot... Now I may be wrong but won't that do it?
Correct me if I am wrong guys
Thanks
