General Questions?
|
|
|
| I have my A+ and N+ and I am trying to decide what to do next. I think I would like to to the W2K or CCNA. Could someone explain the courses needed for the W2K? How many core and electives? Any other advice would be appreicated.
Thanks. | |

| congrats on the comptia exams
What you need to decide is what you want to do with those certs. CCNA and MCSE are not the same in terms of what job you will get with them. Since you have already done Net+, you may want to try your hand at the CCNA if you intend on ever working with routers. If not, if you feel you are more of an OS guy, then the MCSE is a great cert to have. You need to pass 4 core exams, 1 design exam and 2 electives to become an MCSE. The CCNA requires only one exam. Hope this helped! | |

| Thanks Freak.
I am a computer teacher at a local Middle school, I am off the corparate rat wheel.
That is what I was looking for: "4 core exams, 1 design exam and 2 electives"
Would you say each is about as hard as the N+ in terms of studying time?
Thanks. | |

| No I would say that they will require more study time than Net+, but the fact that you have Net+ already under your belt will help you at the beginning. Let me know if I can help! |
