Hi,
my problem goes thus. I have win2k as my operating system in my server computer, n win98 in my 2nd computer which is client.
I do logon into both computers which have a local network and also Internet connection sharing as Administrator. With this I can share files between both computers.
In my win2k computer which has NTFS, while trying to assign drives which could be read using my client win98 computer, I changed my share name for both C and D drive from C: to $C:, and $D:.
since rebooting my win2k computer, my win2k Operating system as been unable to load. It gives an error message, "cannot load OS" and d computer freezes. I dont want to reformat d hard drive cos I have important files in it. Any solution would be appreciated.

Have you tried booting to a "last known good"
or using a repair disk?
