Upgrading to 2000 ? What's needed

| I am an MCSE 4.0. If I do not take the all in one exam what will have have to pass? I have alrady passed workstation and server. Do I have to take all 7 exams just to upgrade to MCSE 2000? | |

| Regardless of how many NT4 exams you have taken, if you choose not to take the 70-240 Accelerated Upgrade exam, you will have to take all 7 Windows 2000 MCSE track exams separately.
Even if you choose to take the accelerated exam, you will also have to take one other core elective exam, and possibly two new new elective exams, if the exams you used for your NT4 track MCSE are retiring.

Agreed. Say, Paisleyskye, what MCPs do you have? Are they 4.0 or Win2K?

| Don't forget if you take the accelerated exam you only get one shot at it. If you fail you are back where you started. That is one of the reasons I have stayed away from the NT4 Track. The way I figure it is how many MCSE's with the W2K track will there be? From what I have seen not too many. W2k is only kinda like NT4 but its also kinda like 95/98. It is a unique beastie. NT4 is not going to go away anytime soon though but W2K is comming.
