| It appears that on some of the Windows 2000 exams you can get a partial credit when you, lets say chose 2 correct answers in the questions that asked to (choose all that apply) and there are 4 correct answeres.
This was not the case in NT4 exams, where you had to pick all choices correctly or it would count as incorrect answer.
I also remember seeing on Microsoft website a while ago that if you choose incorrect answer in multiple choice, it will reduce your score for that question only.
For example, let's say the question asks you to choose all thal apply and there are 4 correct answers out of 6 choices. Let's say you picked 2 correct ones and 1 incorrect one. The computer will then deduct the incorrect one but you will still get a partial credit.
If you picked only incorrect ones, then the deductions will not carry over to the next question, meaning you cannot get a negative score for a question.
This is a bit complicated, but seems to be a fair scoring system.
Now I could not find this article again on Microsoft's site, but I found a confirmation of this concept is the FAQ.
quote: Q. Some questions require multiple answers. Will I get credit for responses that are partially correct?
A. For some questions, you can receive partial credit for partially correct responses.
Here is the link to the FAQ:

Can someone confirm this? The reason I ask this is because I am developing a new version of the testing engine I use on Cert21.com and want to include this feature in it, so that it is more closely reflects the scoring on the real exam.
