I know the NT exams are retiring along with the Net. Essentials. I want to start out with an MCP. If I get an MCP in one of the NT exams, is this certification still recognized after they retire?

We use an NT LAN at work and have no plans to convert to 2000 right now. I guess f I leave my job in the future, taking current exams would be better.

I guess my real question, is, if I get an MCP +I in the NT track. Will I still be certified after they retire??

Thanks
Mark

You will be certified till December 2001. If you take network essentials that does not give you and MCP. take the easiest one Workstation.

hi msuggs, we meet again (from CIW forum).
i myself am working towards my MCP+I,
1 down, 2 to go.
hopefully i'll be MCP+I within the next 2 months,....

yes, you'll be certified untill dec 2001, and I dont really give a **** if Microsoft will take my MCP+I away from me. I spent too much hard work on them. but again, it's the knowledge of the technology that really matters, (to me at least).

goodluck
