hi,
My company ask me to network an Apple Computer into a Windows NT network. Is tat possilble? How should i go about doing it?

Thanks.

Appletalk!!
Forgive me for being so terse! In order for Windows to talk to Apples, you need to install the Appletalk protocol on all clients that will need to connect to the Apple pc. If you aren't sure how to do that, post back here and we'll help you out. Right, gang?

you may also need to install Mac services for NT -- or whatever the heck it is called -- and make sure that your disk is NTFS or it will not support the service install...

freak,
Absolutely! So kill97, if you really want to learn more about setting up an Apple on a Windows network, go to this link: http://www.microsoft.com/TechNet/wi...twork/xns18.asp
There you will find the instructions for the procedure. Like freak said, you will need to install Services for Macintosh on your server first. SFM installs the protocol, file and print services. Hope this helps.

PS.how do i make sure my disk is NTFS? (on apple com or windows com?)

kill97,
For the record NTFS is only available on Windows NT systems (hence the name NT File System.) To find out if it is installed (and I'm almost certain it would be) click Start - Programs - Administrative Tools (Common) - Disk Administrator. There you will find out many interesting things about your hard disk.
On second thought, just open "My Computer" and right click on the Icon for the hard drive in question. Select "Properties" from the popup menu and there you will see the file system installed. Hope this helps.
