Microsoft expect...
|
|
|
| Allegedly...
Microsoft expect an MCSE candidate to have at least one year of experience implementing and administering a network operating system in environments with the following characteristics:
- 200 to 26,000 supported users
- 5 to 150 physical locations
- Typical network services and applications including file and print, database, messaging, proxy server or firewall, dial-in server, desktop management, and Web hosting
- Connectivity needs including connecting individual offices and users at remote locations to the corporate network and connecting corporate networks to the Internet
As well as at least one year's experience in the following areas:
- Implementing and administering a desktop operating system
- Implementing and administering a network operating system
- Designing a network infrastructure
(Quoted from QA Training's Training Brochure)
Okay, now I'm a lowly support bod, I participate in stuff like this (but not everything). I'm studying for the MCSE and playing with the OS on my home network (2PCs and a laptop), am I alone in not meeting these "expectations"?

| You can ignore all this requirement. Don't take it too seriously.
But those experience certainly help you to understand especially when you go to big picture like infrastructure & AD. Everyone can install the Pro & the Server and play around, it is not that difficult. But when it come to enterprise level, those concept become difficult to grasp without those experience. |
