I heard it good, my friend just bought it.
For the core is good enough, but always look for extra resouce.
If u never experience on NT, u might need to study hard. It very depend on your background.

| I use a copy of "MCSE Training Kit Win2K Core Requirements". It is well rated. I also have the Professional & Server Resource Kits. I purchased a copy of "Windows 2000 MCSE Study System" by Alan R. Carter because I liked his NT MCSE Study Guide.
The resource kits are the reference books, the others are for study. There are over 10,000 pages here, and I'm just getting started on Win2k and the 70-240 Accelerated exam.
Best of luck with your studies.

| Personally I think it's only use is for a paper weight!
I bought it thinking "it's MS so it should be good" balls, its way to heavy a read even for me. I'd choose any of the SYBEX books or ExamCram ones as I have both, there far easier to read. I use the MS Kit as referance only.
Hope this helps.

| Hi, I passed this exam 70-210 2 weeks ago.
And this Training Kit is...
Yes, it's a good resource for studying but
not an enough stuff. I think you need to
study other materials such as Sybex's Minasi
book 'Mastering Windows2000 server' and
some technical library from MS website. | |
|
| Thanks for that advice Yeti, I agree with you, I'm taking the kits back and getting my money back and then go another route.
I tried your websites, some work and some don't, but I will be in touch.
Take care. | |

| I used the MS Press MCSE Training Kits for the 210 and 215 and thought they were pretty good. I thought the 216 stank and so didn't use the 217.
Yetis are pretty heavy, too.

| You were quite successful with the pro and server exams you mentioned eh cadman, right on, good going! You didn't try the accelerated test? I got my mcse but I just recently did ccna and that sure took a lot out of me, I mean I forgot a lot of nt stuff. You did the kits for server and pro by them selves, no other resourses? I just got the troytec's for server and pro, I wonder if they will help? | |
|
| spiritherb,
Yes, just the MS Kits for 210 and 215. I needed these two to teach a class and wasn't ready to take on the 240. After taking the individual 210 and 215 I decided I didn't really want to sit back through them in the 240. I didn't know about Troytec then and I haven't seen them, so I don't know. The Troytec for 216 and 217 seemed pretty good.
