I would like to start a colaboration site to combime all our knowledge
|
|
|
| Ok so this is not a new idea I'm sure but it seems STUPID that all that come to this forum all pay vast amounts of money for different information about all the same subject, YES?
NB I'm not proposing breaching any Copyrights, CD copying or the like. What I am proposing is a site which combines all our knowledge with a view to making all our studying CHEAPER.
What do you think?
It's mainly aimed at he UK ppl here, but since the www knows few boundaries it would make sense to include all countries, Yes?
Please bear in mind that I am one person trying to help so many ppl it may take some time to co-ordinate all the info (as I do this in my spare time) I'm more than happy to get others involved to help develop my current site even more please e-mail me if your interested.

| it would appear that all you lot like spending all your hard earned dosh duplicating resources.
Oh well so be it.
Webmaster please close this as I fear no one is going to respond to it.

| Yeti-
I was hoping you would get some response from your side (since that is where you 'mainly aimed'). I agree with your intent.
It would seem that people are either:
A. Wealthy
B. Not interested in sharing
C. Looking for braindumps
D. Fly fishing
E. All the above
I'm with you.

| Yo cadman ( AutoCad? Medusa? Drawing Board & Pencil?)
Do you have a website mate? If you do could I use anything or even contribute to its content?
Yeti | |
|
| In a former life I was a trainer in drafting and CAD (AutoCAD, Microstation, Catia, etc). Did so much network stuff that I started migrating over. Now I do IT and CAD management, and IT training.
I had I website at one time and maintained a site for another company, but found I just didn't have time to maintain it like I should, plus it just wasn't my thing. I learned enough about it to be able to relate it to other IT areas.
Now I am a boffin wannabe.

| cadman,
I.ve found the cause, the ISP ie Plusnet.com & f9.net.uk have a minor(Rather big if you ask me) problem.
Update on FTP & WWW service
Engineers are endeavouring to stabilize connectivity. The problem
centres around the ftp servers being unable to maintain contact with the
data cluster.
I understand some users were unable to view the previous posting under
this heading, hence this duplication.

| Ok people the site has been up and running now since 23/10/00 and so far I've had contributions from 3 of you (excellent ones as well if I may say so).
Feel free to make suggestions using the feedback form.
I'm in need of some Study Guides for 223 & 240 any takers? Also since we lack knowledge about the A+ & Cisco certs I'd appreciate contributions for these as well.
I've just added a resources section to the MS page that are worth a look.

We are currently experiancing a problem with our homepages server. A number of attempts have been made to clear the server of runaway processes but the fault has remained. The server is now being shutdown and restarted which should cure the fault. Please accept our apologies for this continued outage.
