Whats best path to go with?..In my office i just installed a brand new w2k server, i still have the bdc,so can i still use with a mix mode for now and perhaps ( maybe i should ) in the future when i upgrade my bdc to to w2k then i can use native mode?.

As long as you have an NT4 DC you need to stay in mixed mode. Native is for a pure W2K peer DC domain. When you are ready, upgrade your NT bdc to a W2K server and then switch to native mode. You get the full benefits of AD (disk quotas, file encryption, etc).
