what are the benefits of 70-240?
|

| Probably costs are not an issue for me. I am not sure about this but I expect the company to take care of that. In that case; are there benefits of taking 240?
Isn't it more effective/ easy to take all 4 of them all seperately?

| Since cost is not a problem, then that probably negates one of the benifits of the 70-240 exam. If the candidate is successful in passing the 70-240 exam and is MCP or MCSE certified in Win NT 4.0 he/she will be ugraded to WIN2K and only need to pass depending on current electives 2-3 more exams to complete the WIN2K certification. Otherwise you have seven (7) exams to pass to become WIN2K certified..........I think I am right please check for yourself to verify. I am in the middle of my NT 4.0 track now, and plan to do the 70-240 exam to upgrade my certification toward the later part of 2001, so I watch this forum for discussion about the exam with great interest..Again please check my comments for accuracy, and I will watch for your reply and comments......... | |

| Fubar is right. Taking the upgrade test eliminates the need to take the core 4 tests for W2k. I've heard that the test is EVIL, though.
After taking the upgrade, (or the core 4), you need to take 1 Designing test (70-219, 220, or 221), plus 2 electives. (Make sure that you take ones that are not about to retire.)

| O.k. I understand that (Thanks both, for your replay). But you still have to study the same material. As I understand 70-240 is nothing less than all 4 core-exams put together in one day. So the question remains; why should I let myself make crazy. Why not take all those exams one by one in my own speed in stead of all in one day.
A reason I can think of myself is that by putting 70-240 on your CV you really show yourself being a proffessional.
