Alan Carter's "W2K Study Guide" good for passing W2K exams? Exam Cram books good?

| I thought I'd see if I could get a few more "second opinions" before I plunk down a Ben Franklin or two on books … and wasting lots of time reading an “okay” book when there might be “great” Win2K MCSE books available.
Is anyone reading Alan Carter's "Windows 2000 MCSE Study Guide" (ISBN: 0764547011)? I read his "Windows NT 4.0 Study Guide" cover to cover for my MCSE Core Four exams along with an Exam Cram for each exam. I bought those books mainly because of recommendations on MCSETutor.com. It worked out well I suppose since I got high scores on all 4 of them.
I am kind of leaning toward doing the same book combinations for the Win2K Core Four. Anyone out there in certification land (instructor or student) using the Carter and/or Exam Cram books for the Win2K exams? As almost all of us want to know … how useful are they for passing the Win2K exams and (secondarily) having the most important stuff stick to the ole brain cells for the “real world”?
MCSETutor/2000Tutor hasn't decided on their official "Recommended Books" for Win2K" exams just yet, so any comments on the Carter Win2K book, the Exam Cram books, or any other books that are great for the Win2K exams would be appreciated. | |

| I haven't read/heard anything about that book. I invested in Sybex's "Core Requirements" since I had heard much about that set. Check out www.bookpool.com and pass the word. They've got great prices on IT books, etc. |
