| Anyone...
I am a UNIX sysadmin with 3 yers of experience thinking of crossing over to the MS side of the fence. I would like to pursue a cert track but am unsure of where I should begin...I am not fond of hardware or networking...

| OK...seriously, though...
UNIX has become so balkanized lately, and linux is so embryonic...besides, all the new jobs around here (Wash, D.C.) are mostly MS related...I would love to go MSCD, but I only know shell scripting....any thoughts? | |

| Go for it mate, can you get any work experience within a Microsoft environment? I am fortunate enough to be in a position that if I wanted to (and I frequently do) that I could work with UNIX, Oracle (haven't tried that one yet), developers, networks and so on....
...give it a go first and then shoot for the MS certs. My aim (I don't know if i'll get it yet) is to get MCDBA, MCSD, CNE 5 & 6, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCIP as well as Solaris Systems Admin....I can but dream can't I? |
