| Do you think that your MCSE will help you in your ventures? I'm really wondering if anyone has a good story about a great job out of it??? I myself think that it is a great marketing ploy( what's easier then selling hope to people ). Don't get me wrong I in it deep I love this stuff can get enough of it. I'm just wondering what you think about all this hipe. I got a buddy that thinks he is going to make so much money form this I can't say anything that he will hear" I think that it is so funny that he will not hear what I am trying to tell him.
But I really wonder. Thanks for your time.

| Yes that mcse will pay but like any thing else you have to do your time the days of getting that 60 to 70 k administrators job after getting your MCSE are gone it's like anything else you have to do your time the money will come but it takes time and experience Some people have to find out the hard way

| Well, lets put it this way: I got a $15,000 pay raise the first year right after my MCSE and I now work 3 weeks a month for a full m,onth pay...
Is this the kind of story you were looking for?

| I don't know about where you guys are but here in Canada an MCSE helps but its not the end all be all. Employers from real real entry level help desk positions to some very advanced Net Eng. positions want to see an MCSE on your resume. It all comes down to experience.... | |
|
| I received and 8% raise after getting my MCSE with no additional job responsibilities added.
I also have the inside track on 2 System Admin positions in which either would add $10,000+ to my current salary. (It's a nice feeling when 2 companies want you. Decisions, decisions.... ).
Experience and the MCSE certification both enabled me to be in the position I am now with respect to future carreer growth.
So yes, in summary, I feel like the MCSE has payed off, but experience in the field is a contributing factor as well.
