I have fax mailboxes in my exchange 5.5. I want to add multiple users to the same fax mailboxes. So I know that I can have (2) one in the primary mailbox and one in the alternate mailbox such as delivery to both recipents primary and alternate, but not too sure how to add a 3rd.

You can delegate the mailbox to the users that you want to have open it on the server side. On the client side in the properties of the Exchange service, specify to open the additional mailbox.

Ooops! You can actually delegate from the inbox that you want to share.

Is that in the properties section of the inbox? And if so under what tab.

I don't have an Exchange configured Outlook in front of me right now, but I think to delegate, start in the properties of the Outlook Today node, then you may have to assign permissions to each subfolder as desired as well.
