I am just starting out with exchange and wondering what books are best for passing this test? Also What is the passing score and number of questions?? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think you will find if you read a few of the posts in this forum that the Sybex Third Edition for Exchange Server 5.5 is pretty much reffered to as the bible for passing this exam. And if you will follow the link below you will find the answer to the other questions in your post. I hope the information helps and best of luck with the exam .................and as always "that my two cents worth" ............FUBAR

Just to clarify; the book the FUBAR refers to is written by Richard Easlick with James Chellis.

I am currently using this book to pass my last test for my NT4 MCSE, and it appears to have a great wealth of info, but be warned! The authors who wrote this book are very dry when it comes to this subject. I know Exchange Server probably isn't the most exciting subject out there but I find this book to be helpful but boring. I got this book because like FUBAR says; everyone here believes it to be the authority on the subject. All the books for my previous tests were published by IDG, such as the very worthwhile and entertaining book by Alan Carter for Workstation/Server/Enterprise. That book read very well, and was written in a lively manner. It also contained plenty of pictures to familiarize you with the visual aspect of the interface as well. The Sybex book for Exchange 5.5 has a few pictures here and there, but definitely not enough to show you around.

While it may sound like I don't like the book, that is really not the case. I do find it informative, but also dull in the same respect. I will probably only use this book and the info on this website, and maybe the info on Brainbuzz to pass the test, but I am going back to Alan Carter for the Win2000 core exams.

Thanks for listening to my babble,

Nick "The Flash95"
