PASSED MY MCSE!!!!

| WOOHOOO!!!!
I finished IIS last Thursday and now hold my MCP + I and MCSE. What a relief!! I don't know if it's the same around the world but here in Aus it's damn hard to find a testing centre that has a free booking!!
Anyway I only just passed with 727. Having said that I think this was my least prepared for exam. I used transcender for sims and exam essentials for good questions. Everytime I got something wrong I referenced my exam cram book. (i love the guys from exam cram). I did this as I don't use IIS in my work or at home.
Anyway I'm just happy to get it out fo the way. Good luck to anyone who has this one to go!!!
CNA, MCP + I, MCSE

| Congrats Harry! Any pass is a good pass and well deserved to be sure!
Now what will you study?
Would you say EE had comparable questions to what you saw on the test?
I am so worried I called my testing center last week to be sure they were not closing or cutting back walk-in hours for the holiday! They swore it is the same as always, and it better be I am shooting fro the 17th.
All the best to you,

| Congrats!! Did you use any braindumps? If so, which ones? And how many questions were on your exam? Again, congrats!!

| Well done Harry, last minute is nerve racking isn't it!
What other electives did you take, TCP/IP? Will you be moving on to Win2000 as well or are you just plain looking forward to a break.
Congratulations,

| GG,
EE was good but I found Transcender closer to test conditions and very close to quesitons in my test. Good luck sorry I took so long to reply.
I'm going to upgrade my CNA 4.11 to CNE 5. We use NT WS over a Netware backbone so I find I use netware a little more. I'd like to leave Aust and get some work in europe next year as well and I've heard that they're asking for a solid netware grounding.
I was given the big poppa brain dump by a colleague but i didn't use it...I'm not a technically minded person straight up but I am logical. I needed to understand the answers not just click on them. Some I know wrote learnt the Big Poppa BD and passed with 900's. not my style I need the knowledge not just the letters.
Good luck!!!

| Mike,
I was given Big Poppa. but I didn't use it...I concentrated more on Transcender and EE. Also I can't reccomend enough the exam cram series of books. I didn't read them cover to cover but used them to fill the gaps in my knowledge...and believe me I have gaps.... :-) Good luck

| Nerve racking isn't the thing!!! I was at the Prime Ministers XI match Vs the West Indies and had to leave at the change of innings to go sit my test....not fun!!!
I took TCP/IP as my other elective. I actually found this the easiest of my exams. I was also going to take proxy but due to failing IIS once I decided to give it a miss and just take that again. $150 Oz dollars is a bit much to be forking out each week.
I'm not going to upgrade to 2000 till I've finsihed my CNE 5. After that then I'll consider...personally I think MCSE NT shouldn't have been discontinued yet....This might sound weird but I actually enjoy netware more than microsoft....
I should also mention that i did check out Freaks site as well....and I used the link there to an IIS site...it wasn't a brain dump more of a training package...can't remember the name but i think dwood. check out freaks page and you'll find out.....
Merry Xmas to all I hope that everyone finshes in flying colours and you get time to relax over the new year break!!!
