| i just got finished studying for the windows server 2000 exam, but dont have the money to take it now and wanted to start on the cna on netware 6 book i have and began and now i have a question...does anyone even use novell anymore? i guess it would be good to have the knowledge to use netware servers and it'd be a nice resume filler, but is netware being used in companies nowadays? i know usually its a toss up between linux and microsoft for servers, but i havent heard or seen anything about novell. will studying for and passing the exam be a waste of time and money (other than a resume filler) or does netware have some sort of base out there?
thanks | |

| It indeed is being used by many large corporations, albeit not as widely as Microsoft. And Novell recently acquired Suse Linux, I believe, so it will be interesting to see how it enhances it's integration with the Linux stuff over time. Hopefully, there will be more growth. | |

| Do u think the cna is actually worth getting though? | |
|
| Think about it.. CNA is only one exam and it teach u basic NW admin and mgmt tools.
I agree a lot of international corporation using Novell, however to get a specific job that related to Novell is very difficult because they all want experience worker.. |
