| Hi
Does anyone know why they took off the exam 50-659 and left the old exam 50-634 on. I baught the package from selftest software for 50-659 and now I can not take this exam. I called Novell education line and they dont even know that they had 50-659?????

| It did happen to me after I fully prepared for the old exam last January. It is very upset, isn't it?
I suggest you still use the study guide for CNE NetWare 5.1 book written by David James Clarke,IV to prepare your 50-659 exam. Besides, you'd better read some chapters regarding eDiretory and print configuration in NetWare 6 Administrator book. It helps a lot. This exam is not very hard and does not have any tricky questions. All you have to do is to memorize the concepts and understand the concepts as well.

| I take it back. Finally I found that 50-659 is still vaild but it is available only with VUE. Prometric does not have this test on their list. So I am going to take 50-659 on may 13. I have one more(50-658) to go.

| Wait a minute. I am sure that 50-659 has already been retired for NetWare 5.1 CNE. Please check novell website since seeing is believing. Instead, you need to take 50-664 in replace of 50-659 and 50-634. Sorry I confused 50-659 with 50-664.
The last post I made was about 50-664 instead of 50-659.

I am very sure 50-659 is a valid test. How can VUE offer a retired test. Plua I called Novell Education line. I know it is confusing.

| Check this [URL=http://www.novell.com/training/certinfo/cne/cneprog.pdf]if you are going for CNE5 or CNE6. I hope that you are right. But just check to make sure.

| Even after an exam is retired, you have something like 90 days to sit for the exam.
Your best bet though is to call or send an e-mail(Highly Recommend - then you have a written reply) and confirm the info. | |

| You are right. You reminded me that I did get the email from Novell Education to confirm that NDS design and implementation (50-659 and 50-634) are no longer available. You have to take 50-664 (eDirectory design and implementation) instead. I also called them to make sure about it. There is no such a thing as 90 days to sit for Novell.
