| Sorry for my ignorance but netware 5.1 doesn't have a client platform like NT workstation or 2000 Professional does it.
Netware is just a server platform and you install the client software on a client PC running win2k or win 9X.
Is this right. | |

| Correct. Netware is very, very different from the Windows stuff, but if you want to learn it, keep at it. It's great to know platforms aside from MS. Also, I think Netware is beginning to see a resurgence in the IT market, so the knowledge will help. | |

| Just another question what client OS(eg 2000 or w98) should i use to install 5.1 client software on. | |

| Either one or the other or both. There are versions of the Netware client available for most of the Windows OSes. I don't think Win 3.1 is supported with the newer clients though, so you'd have to use a DOS version. The current version for NT/2000 is 4.83, and 3.32 for Win 95/98. Both client versions are on SP2.
You can download the clients here |
