| When you are mirroring or duplexing a netware drive - what are you creating a duplicate image of
a. The Drive
b. The Partition
c. The Volume
I know its easy, but are you reallllly sure without checking?

ok. you made me look it up.
and since it's been forever since i have worked with RAID 1 (mirroring) -- hooray for RAID 5! -- i had to dig into my brain (man, that hurts). i did remember that i always created an identical DOS partition on my HDs that were going to be mirrored, cuz if the one that fails is the only one with that DOS partition, it's going to be tricky to reboot when you bring it down and replace the dead disk.
so, answer: B, partition.
from my whitebook (rev1.0), page 4-39: It is best to mirror partitions of the same size.
that's why i say partition is the answer.
man, i hope i am right! | |
