| This test 654 5.1 AAdmin is giving me a pain in the butt. I bought STSWare's self test. I reported like 7 severe errata to STSWare's developer and hence they rewrote the test and although it was good support, it now locks up.
Sorry to vent. I took the class and have the lab manual. I been on Novell for about 6 years now and I do not know why but this test is stumping me. From what I read it rates about 2 out of 5 for difficulty, but I am having trouble remembering all the new stuff in it. Maybe I need to hit the self test more and the text less. I have even on one section took a green highlighter and marked the answers in the manual exactly as referenced from the STSWare answers.
I have a 5.1 server at home and 3 of 35 of our servers are 5.1 at work. Heck I can work on anything, its just commiting this course to memory based on learned knowledge thats taking me long. I might just decide to partly remember the answers just to get it over with.
I know every question on the 5 Admin test by knowing the product, but that was after 2 years of 5.0 hands on. I'd hate to just start remembering answers. | |

| i took the novell course -- this got me the "white book." i set up a server to study with at home. my test was the NW 5 version (not NW 5.1) but still, that is one of the MOST VALUABLE study aides there is. i swear i read my white book 3 times at least rebuilding my server each time and redoing all the labs. with all the FTP, WWW and other new features and then the GUI interface on the server, it does make for difficult study when one is so familiar with nw4.x.
i used STSware's practice tests but not a great deal. just spend the time with the server and you shall know the server. quiz yourself constantly. think of something that may be on the test and see if you know how to perform that task or solve the problem.
good luck. | |

| Well I used the Clarke Advanced Admin Update book...can't find it now though since I placed it on a shelf at work and played with NW 5.1 thats it other than that the test was straight forward... (BTW I did the exam for my CCR way back in August last year so it may have changed since) Oh yes and the EE5.5 tests.
