Author Best CNA Study Book?

2001-02-08, 8:21 pm

I was looking at older posts to get a idea but they were not much help so I thought I would post a fresh one. What is the best study guide (Book) for the most current CNA test for NW 5.1? Or I guess what are the recommended steps currently to become a CNA? I plan to test early in the 4th quarter this year. And I guess where should I find practice exams? I know you guys are sick of responding to post like this so thanks ahead of time.

If money is no object, do yourself a favor and get the Novell Student Kit - the White Book - for Netware 5.1 Administration. Combine it with either Self Test Software or Exam Essentials, or both, and you will ace the test. Self Test is tougher than Exam Essentials but it includes an NWAdmin simulator. Exam essentials questions, on the other hand, are much closer to the real exam than Self Test, but has no simulator.

Why 4th quarter? NetWare 6 will proably be out around then. Just curious...

It could be sooner. My job is waiting for me to get the N+ done by the second quarter and then I have til the fourth to get the CNA done. It's kind of a "goals" program we have going here. I could expedite both of them I'm sure. But for now I'm just checking it out. We already have a N+ CBT they bought for me and I'm working on that. I'm sure they would pick up the NetWare kits too or the white papers or whatever, how much is that stuff? My boss said they could send me to a class for a week too maybe to prepare for the test. How much are we talking here Rosetower for the Novell Student Kit Book for Netware 5.1 Administration. Over a grand ? My work would pick that up I'm sure if it was only around a grand. I can get this info On my own too but I dig posting

The Novell student kit or white books are normally included in the class price, but you can buy them from Novell authorized training centers without taking the classes.
Prices vary - anywhere from $180 to $500 each - depending on the exam topic.
