Author Netware 5 Admin...which exam???

2000-09-20, 5:10 am

I have recently completed the Novell Course 560 for Netware 5 Admin and I see there is 3 exams that you can sit for this. 50-639, 50-645 and 50-653. One of which is adaptive one of which is standard. Can anyone suggest which would be the best one to sit?? I believe the first 2 are going to be retired sometime in the future. Thanks.

marlo,

639 and 645 are A and 653 is P. You can check with Novell.com
645 no going to retire soon.
It depend on what is your study course foruc on. Is it for 645 or 653?
I suggest for 645, if you fear that you will need to retake that soon. Take the 653.
But most people took the 645

I took the 50-645 test, it appears to be the current test for the Netware 5 track. 50-653 is the test for Netware 5.1 track. So if you are going for a CNE in Netware 5 take 50-645, otherwise take 50-653 for the Netware 5.1 track.

I took and passed the 653 exam for Netware 5.1. It was the long form test, 67 questions, but it was not that hard if you know your stuff. It was all multiple choice and some type in the answer. No simulation type questions. I thought it made sense to take the newest test, since it probably will be around the longest.

Since, you did it. It doesn't matter anymore.
5.1 is only the improve version for
better platform, internet, web application
than 5.0

No like the change from NW4 to NW5.
So, I think that 645 will still be the main road.
