| Im looking for some advice on study materials.
I want a book that covers all the topics, but is to the point. I recently look an online CCNA course, but it is mostly deprecated.
As far as a simulator goes, I dont know how in depth of a simulator I would benefit from. Any suggestions on simulators?
Thanks for any help you can offer!

| Your guide is great, I have purchased it, thanks!
Can you recommend any cheap/functional simulation software? | |

| I am 3/4 my way through my CCNA and have read 1 book, most of a 2nd book and looked at 3 others and found
CCNA: Cisco Certified Network Associate Study Guide, 5th Edition (640-801)
by Todd Lammle sybex
to be the best book I have seen so far on the CCNA. Also, I have tested 3-4 simulators and the most in-depth and correct (many sims are very poorly written and the CLI commands usually do not work properly ) would be routersim.com NetworkVisualizer 4.0 or 4.1. Trust me on the simulator.....I have really tried hard to find one that actually works for most commands. It is a little more expensive than some of the other sims but if you really need a working sim to prepare you for the real world this is the best out there so far.
