I have two questions about the IOS's.

1. Is there some logic to the naming convention syntax of the IOS?
If so can you give me a few examples?

2. I understand the version 12 or so of the IOS's comes with its own firewall? Is
this true? What version do I need to search for? Is it PIX type of commands?

Thanks.

Yes, look at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products.../> 18305e.shtml (you may have to cleanup the url).

What about the fire wall portion of the question? Does version 12 come with Firewall capabilities? Is it a replacement for the PIX or just a scaled down version?
