I'm here to tell you that you better know your stuff before taking the test. I have been a professional networker going on 5 years. I have been working with Cisco equipment for about 2 years. I have taken the test twice and failed. My advice to anyone taking the test is "KNOW YOUR STUFF". Then when you think that you are ready, study some more, because it is a doosie!

That seems like worrying news for someone like me who have never worked with Cisco equipment before, although I know abit about networking.

I think I will study more for my upcoming INTRO exam..or maybe just continue with the ongoing ICND course first before revising for the whole thing later.

Good luck next time

i have no clue what the hell i m doing wrong. i have been working with cisco equip for about 2 years now, and have failed the test TWICE scoring 800 both of the times. i know for facts that i got both of the sims right, dont know what i did wrong. The test seems easy and looks like i will def pass and then at the end i get 800 TWO TIMES IN A ROW..!!!!

Anyone know of some resource where I can get more Lab scenarios, subnetting & VLSM excercises and maybe access-lists too?

The exam is not that difficult. At first, it seems like alot to know, but once you get it down, the concepts are relatively simple. How do you know for a fact that you got the sims right?

i know i got the sims right coz i memorized them and tested em when i got back from the exam. Also showed em to a CCIE and he confirmed the same thing.

in addition that, they were not hard at all. They required simple configs which i tested after configuring the sim routers.

Fair enough. You should have gotten an exam results sheet that told you which areas gave you trouble and which didn't. Use that to see what you need to work on.

I have heard from someone (maybe on this forum?) that Odom stated the fact the Cisco is considering future changes in the way they test CCNA candidates. Instead of a sim they might use a live router at a remote cisco location.

Can anyone confirm this?
