Author the loopback command on an ethernet interface

hi,everyone!
what is the use of the command of looback on an ethernet interface? as i know,there is no difference for an ethernet interface whether set the command or not on an ethernet interface.anyone has other ideas?

Click on "SEARCH" type in "loopback".

The 'loopback' command on ethernet is used for troubleshooting. I don't think you should be concerned about this for CCNA.

Hope this is more useful than the "SEARCH" advice...

Danny-boy,
If people can't learn to first try and locate answers for themselves, then you are not helping them in their quest for certification or knowledge. All you are doing is trying to make yourself feel important and spoon feeding them answers.

thanks for replay,I just set the loopback on an ethernet interface,and i think it will make the interface output packets loop back just like it does on a serial interface,but it does not.the ethernet port works as before,So what is the use of the command on ethernet port?
