the loopback command on an ethernet interface

| hi,everyone!
what is the use of the command of looback on an ethernet interface? as i know,there is no difference for an ethernet interface whether set the command or not on an ethernet interface.anyone has other ideas? | |

The 'loopback' command on ethernet is used for troubleshooting. I don't think you should be concerned about this for CCNA.

| thanks for replay,I just set the loopback on an ethernet interface,and i think it will make the interface output packets loop back just like it does on a serial interface,but it does not.the ethernet port works as before,So what is the use of the command on ethernet port? | |
